Lyudmila V. Shaposhnikova, Director General of the Museum by name of Nicholas Roerich, President of the Charitable Foundation named after Helena Roerich Honored Worker of Art of Russia was awarded with the European Union Prize for Cultural Heritage / Europa Nostra Awards 2010 in the Category 3 - Dedicated Service . The Prize is given for outstanding achievements in preservation of European architectural, natural, archaeological and artistic heritage.

Europa Nostra Awards

Professional activity of Ms Shaposhnikova, First vice-president of the International Centre of the Roerichs, Director General of the Museum by name of Nicholas Roerich, President of the Charitable Foundation named after Helena Roerich was highly appreciated in Europe. She was named the winner of the European Union Prize for Cultural Heritage in the category «Dedicated Service».

The European Union Prize for Cultural Heritage / Europa Nostra Awards Ceremony was held on 10 June 2010 in Istanbul, Turkey, 2010 European Capital of Culture. One of the Award laureates in Dedicated Service category is Ludmila V. Shaposhnikova, President of Helena Roerich Charitable Foundation, First Vice-President of Roerich International Centre, Director General to N.Roerich Social Museum.

On 16 June 2010, Russian Centre of Culture and Science in Berlin hosted an exhibition dedicated to Roerich Pact 75-th anniversary -“Roerich Pact. 75 years of cultural and humanitarian safeguard”. The exhibition was organized by International Roerich Centre with patronage of Russian Federation Ministry of Culture and Russian Duma Cultural Committee.
The solemn opening was anticipated by Köln High School of Music students  – violinist Andrey Rosendent, the  Helena Roerich Charitable Foundation grant scholar , laureate of international festivals and contests, and Sergey Markin (piano). Young musicians presented “Passionato” by Josef Suk.

The book «Reflections» by Jonathan Kimelfeld was issued by the «Gallea Print» publishing house. Many times Jonathan Kimelfeld has been the winner of competitions for young journalists. He is one of the youngest writers in the world, a member of the International Association of writers and publicists. The author of illustrations for the book was Gregory Missura, the winner and laureate of many art exhibitions. Their creative alliance was formed during their joint work in the magazine «Culture and time», issued by the International Centre of the Roerichs. In March 2010, with the Helena Roerich Charitable Foundation assistance, “The Thoughts” by Jonathan Kiemelfeld were finally published. The book by Foundation’s “Arts and science young talents support program” scholar is the first collection of his works composed of short stories, parables and lyrics and concluding the fourteen years of author’s life, his deep philosophical reflections on the Universe and Being main points, as well as Human’s mission and predestination. We are convinced that any reader’s heart might be touched by these stories. The earnings from the book selling will be transferred to the author as his royalties.

On 12 February 2010, the N. Roerich Social Museum announced the name of the Helena Roerich International Award laureate in the field of Living Ethics philosophical research in 2009. This time nominees to the Award launched by Helena Roerich Charitable Foundation included 10 scientific works coming from three foreign countries.

The presentation of the final volume of the complete set of letters by H. Roerich from the archives of the International Centre of the Roerichs and the presentation of the International prize by the name of H. Roerich for the year 2009 took place on the ceremony on the occasion of Helena Roerich's Birthday.
